1 The Input Screen

1.1 The Task List

• Press 'New' to add, 'Delete' to remove and 'U', 'D' to sort tasks
• Enter 'Name' and 'Shortname' and 'Notes' for the task
• Specify the 'Estimated Hours' for the task
• If you want the task not to begin before a certain date, specify 'Earliest Start'
• Specify when you want the task to be finished in 'Expected End'
• If other tasks have to be finished before this one starts specify 'Predecessors'
  e.g 1;2;4
• If e.g. task 1 has to be finished, half of task 2 and 80% of task 4 has to be finished
  specify predecessors like this: 1;2(50);4(80)

1.2 The Skilled Workers List

• Select a task from the task list
• Select a staff member from the staff list and press 'Add' or
• Select a staff member from the skilled workers list and press 'Remove'
• Per default the 'Percentage' is set to 100
• Worker A percentage = 100, B = 100: There is no restriction to the alogrithm
  about how to split the task between worker A and B
• A = 100, B = 50: B will work between 0 and 50 % of the task but not more
• A = 50, B = 50: A and B will work exactly 50% of the task

1.3 The Staff List

• Press 'New' and 'Delete' to add and remove staff members
• Enter 'Name' and 'Short Name' of the worker
• Enter the 'Hours/Week' the staff member is aible to work on your tasks in a week
• Enter vacations and sick leaves of a selected worker to 'Absent' list
• Enter public holidays to 'Public Holiday' list. This dates will be considered
  as non working days for all the staff

2 The Menu Bar

• Use 'New', 'Open', 'Save' and 'Save As' to manage your APP projects
• Press 'Start Calculation' if you are finished with entering your Inputs
• Calculation stops when MSE has reched Zero
  Congratulations, all your task can be done 'in time' by your team
• Calculation stops when 'Stop Calculation' is pressed
• Output screen is updated during calculation whenever a new 'best' MSE is computed
• Press 'Export(GanntProject)' to save your output data for GanntProject
  Your filename + extension '.gan' is used

3 The Output Screen (Phase Plan)

• In the 'Output: Calculation Detail' screen you will see which tasks are assigned to which workers
  for each week
  
• Now assume the following calculated detail plan of workers A and B and Tasks T1, T2, T3
• A: T1, T2, T1, T2, T2, T3, T3
• B: T2, T1, T2, T2, T2, T3
• The 'Output: Phase Plan' screen will contain 3 phases
• Phase 1: Duration week 1 - 3 - Milestones: T1 finished
  A: T1: 66%, T2 33%
  B: T1: 33%, T2 66%
  
• Phase 2: Duration week 4 - 5 - Milestones: T2 finished
  A: T2: 100%
  B: T2: 100%
  
• Phase 3: Duration week 6 - 7 - Milestones: T3 finished
  A: T3: 100% (2x40 hours)
  B: T3: 100% (1x40 hours
• The output phase plan is the actual result of APP and can be 'Print'ed or
  taken over to other applications (e.g. MS Word) by copy&paste
